Rebecca Cardona

“Rebecca Cardona born in 12th June, 1994, enrolled with the scout movement in 2000, when at the age of seven; she joined the cub section. She fully participated in the programme for this section and was trained in the basic scouting life skills such as self-reliance,citizenship and character development. She served in the position of a sixer and obtained the Gold arrow. At the age of eleven, Rebecca progressed in the next section which is the troop. At the age of thirteen she was promoted as a Patrol Leader of the Lion patrol and stayed in this position for five years. During this time she managed to gain the Chief Scout Award.Then she moved on to the Venture Unit and and during this time got promoted as a Junior Instructor within the troop. Then in 2012 Rebecca has been attending the Rover Crew and is going to be going up in the AGM of 2013. In 2008 Rebecca joined the band within the Group itself and has been trained to play the drums till this date. Rebecca is currently undertaking a leadership course (getting started) within the Scouts Association in Malta, and during this intensive course she will be trained in communication, child protection, spiritual development, safety in scouting, integration of special needs, management and scoial trends amongst other topics. Obtained a first aid course with the st.john’s ambulance. Rebecca is currently studying at Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary at matriculation course,wanting to achieve A’levels and continue at University to graduate as a teacher.”
