Jacqueline joined the Mosta Scout Group in 1992 as a trainee to the Cub Scout Section. Even though she entered the Scout Association at a later age, she was already involved and active in the Girl Guide Association from the tender age of 6, as at the time girls were not recruited in the Scout movement. Jacqueline in fact was always interested in the Scout movement since her father Mr. Joseph Sciberras was active in the group as well as attended many activities organised by the Mosta Scout`s through her father. She even participated in Canoe races and won several medals.

In 1996 she was appointed as an Acting Cub Scout Leader and later carried out the Basic Adult leadership course and appointed as Cub Scout Leader in 1997. In the mean time Jacqueline took various courses including Life saving course with the Royal Life Saving Society, First Aid course with the St John`s Ambulance Malta, and Food Hygiene with the Institute of Tourism Studies Malta.

Jacqueline attended a camporee at Sigonella in Sicily in 1999 as part of a contingent from Malta.
